Anthropic files for November IPO, targeting record $100 billion raise
AI company Anthropic is preparing its stock market debut for November, potentially becoming the largest initial public offering in history. The San Francisco-based firm filed documents Monday to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "ANT." Anthropic could surpass SpaceX's June IPO record of $86 billion, with reports suggesting up to $100 billion could be raised. The company behind the chatbot "Claude" reported revenue surging from $1.2 billion to $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, though it posted a net loss of $80.7 billion, mostly from valuation-related write-downs. Privately valued at $965 billion earlier this year, Anthropic's valuation could rise to $1.5 or even $2 trillion in the IPO. Investor marketing is set to begin the week of November 9.
