Iran Urges UN to Reject US Sanctions as 'Economic Terrorism'

Iran condemned new US sanctions in a letter to the UN, calling them an act of "state and economic terrorism." Iran's letter urges the Security Council to reject the "unilateral coercive measures and secondary sanctions" and calls on all governments to disregard US decisions. China has also criticized the announced sanctions, saying the "unprecedented economic war" against Iran will worsen conflict and disrupt the global economy.
