Ukrainian drones strike Ryazan refinery, sparking fire and injuries
Ukrainian drones attacked the Rosneft refinery in Ryazan, causing a fire and injuring residents. Damage was also reported in Rostov-on-Don. The governor confirmed a fire at an industrial enterprise, with drone debris damaging a residential building and injuring one person. The Ukrainian UNIAN portal attributed the attack to an FP-1 drone. The incident occurred during diplomatic talks with the United States, following Putin's order to pause attacks on Kyiv for three days. The Ryazan refinery is one of Russia's largest, processing about 17 million tons of oil annually. This was not the first attack on the facility, which was previously targeted in May and late July 2026. In Rostov-on-Don, four people were injured and a locomotive was damaged, delaying seven passenger trains. Russia's Defense Ministry reported intercepting 258 Ukrainian drones.
