State of emergency declared in Rostov-on-Don after drone attack damages homes

A local state of emergency has been declared in Rostov-on-Don within the boundaries of streets damaged by a drone attack that occurred overnight into Sunday, according to city head Alexander Skryabin. Skryabin stated the decision includes organizing operational headquarters and commissions to assess damage, conducting door-to-door inspections to document harm, and accepting applications for financial aid from affected residents. Utility services were instructed to begin cleaning the surrounding areas. Regional governor Yuri Slyusar reported that about 30 drones were destroyed in the Rostov region overnight. A child was injured in the Sovetsky district and hospitalized, with three more people later seeking medical help. Two apartment buildings were damaged, and a drone was also neutralized in Bataysk and other districts.
