Satellite photos reveal damage to Ukraine's strike on Russia's Millerovo airbase
Satellite imagery confirms a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Millerovo airbase in Rostov Oblast destroyed a technical maintenance unit and ammunition depot, and damaged two radar systems. The strike targeted facilities critical to the base's operations. The Dnipro OSINT project analyzed the satellite photos, showing the complete destruction of the airfield's technical-operational unit, which services and prepares aircraft for flights. An ammunition warehouse was also destroyed, along with the RSP-27 landing radar and a Nebo-SV radar station, potentially complicating air traffic management and combat aviation operations. Located about 170 km from the front line, the base hosts Russia's 31st Fighter Aviation Regiment with Su-30SM and Su-35 jets. The attack occurred as Ukrainian drones also struck the Ryazan oil refinery and Rostov-on-Don airfield on September 6, causing fires at both sites.
