Ukraine reports 92 drones and missiles in overnight Russian attack
Russia attacked Ukraine with nearly 100 drones and missiles, including the new S8000 Banderol type, striking 12 locations, according to Ukrainian Air Force reports. The overnight assault from September 6-7 involved 92 Shahed, Gerbera, and decoy drones launched from Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, occupied Donetsk, and Crimea. Air defense shot down or suppressed 71 drones by 9:00 AM, with impacts recorded at 12 sites and debris falling at one location. The attack continued with drones still detected in airspace. In Zaporizhzhia, a drone strike caused a fire at a shopping center. In Odessa region, two cars and dry grass burned, with fences, facades, and windows of two homes damaged. In Izmail district, a residential building was hit, and two cars and an outbuilding caught fire.
