Fire Point releases video of drone strike on Russia's Ryazan oil refinery

Ukrainian defense technology company Fire Point confirmed a strike on the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia, releasing video of the attack. The facility, one of Russia's largest, caught fire after being hit by an FP-1 drone. The company stated Ukraine's defense forces targeted the refinery, which has an annual capacity of about 17 million tons of oil. The attack occurred overnight into Sunday, September 6. The refinery previously halted crude processing on July 29 after a Ukrainian drone attack. In 2024, it processed 13.1 million tons of crude, about 4.9% of Russia's total, producing 2.2 million tons of gasoline, 3.4 million tons of diesel, and 4.3 million tons of fuel oil.
