Ukrainian drones hit Russian oil refinery 1,500 km from front, bloggers slam air defenses

Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian city of Perm, located 1,500 kilometers from the front line, on Monday, September 7, striking a major oil refinery and prompting criticism of Russian air defenses from military bloggers. The attack targeted the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery, one of Russia's largest, which processes over 13 million tons of oil annually. Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov said damaged refineries would be restored within two to three weeks.
