Russia struck Zaporizhzhia's largest shopping mall, City Mall, with drones on the night of September 7, causing a major fire and serious damage, though no casualties were reported. The mall had already suspended operations for September. The attack follows a Russian strike on the nearby Epicenter mall on August 28, which also halted work. City Mall, owned by Arricano Real Estate PLC, has a retail area of over 23,400 square meters and housed more than 90 international and Ukrainian brands. Arricano also owns the Solnechnaya Galereya mall in Kryvyi Rih, which Russia hit on August 21, killing 16 people. The company operates four shopping centers in Ukraine, including two in Kyiv, with additional projects in development.
