Kyiv attack debris damages buildings, traps residents in two districts

Debris from a Russian attack on Kyiv fell on multiple buildings in two districts overnight, causing damage and trapping people, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack occurred early Tuesday, September 8. In the Solom'yansky district, debris hit a five-story residential building and damaged a three-story one. In the Darnytskyi district, a car was damaged. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported medics were dispatched, and a fire broke out at an educational facility in the Holosiivskyi district, with people preliminarily trapped in a residential building. The attack follows a drone strike on the Kyiv region that destroyed seven trucks and twice targeted a logistics complex. Separately, in Zaporizhzhia, Shahed drones burned the City Mall shopping center, causing a large fire covering 700 square meters.
