Ukrainian drone strike disables over 77% of Ryazan refinery capacity

A Ukrainian drone strike on the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia has disabled over 77% of the plant's primary oil refining capacity, according to Fire Point company data cited by RBC-Ukraine. The strike confirmed hits on the refinery's largest crude distillation unit, ELOU-AVT-6 (8.5 million tonnes per year), and the AVT-3 unit (3.1 million tonnes per year). The attack occurred during a nighttime drone raid that caused a fire and explosions at the site, confirmed by regional governor Pavel Malkov. The Ryazan refinery is one of Russia's largest, processing about 17 million tonnes of crude annually to produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other products, including for the Russian military. It has been a repeated target of Ukrainian drones, including a late July attack.
