Ukraine and Russia to Hold US-Mediated Talks in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11
Ukraine and Russia will hold negotiations in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, with the US acting as mediator, according to US Special Representative Steve Witkoff. The working-level talks will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, and humanitarian issues. The meeting is part of the Trump administration's mission to end the war. Separately, US negotiators will travel to Brussels this week to meet with France, Germany, the UK, the EU, and NATO to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe's post-war security architecture, and economic opportunities for Ukraine's reconstruction. Washington hopes to build on progress from previous rounds in Kyiv, Oslo, and Saint Petersburg. The Abu Dhabi round follows weeks of preparation, including calls between Finnish and Norwegian leaders with Putin, and a preliminary date of November 4 was previously suggested by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
