Zelensky and Andorra discuss return of abducted Ukrainian children
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Andorra's Prime Minister Xavier Espot Zamora how the country could help locate and return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. Ukraine has already brought back 2,790 of over 20,000 children taken. Zelensky and Espot Zamora met in Madrid on Thursday, November 5, and agreed their teams would continue joint work on the issue. Kyiv cooperates with the Vatican, Middle Eastern countries, and other partners, though each return is complex, requiring locating the child, verifying information, and gathering evidence, with Russia resisting every time. The leaders also discussed Andorra's specific steps to assist and support for Ukraine's energy sector, which has suffered from Russian strikes. Zelensky noted any energy aid during winter could help Ukrainians.
