Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Urges American Voters to Reject War Policies

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps published an open letter to American voters on Tuesday, urging them to "wrest control back from corrupt politicians" weeks before the U.S. midterm elections. The letter accuses the Trump Administration of lying about the ongoing U.S.-Israel war against Iran, now in its eighth month. The IRGC called on Americans to enact change through their votes, claiming the U.S. political system is "at its weakest." It asserted Iran has "won the war," retaining control of the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear program, while accusing the U.S. of enabling "genocide" in Gaza and Lebanon. The letter demands the U.S. end aid to Israel, avoid foreign wars, and close overseas military bases, offering "peaceful coexistence" if conditions are met. It follows an April open letter from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and comes amid polls showing most Americans disapprove of the war.
