Iran receives US response to proposal for ending Middle East war

Iran announced Wednesday it received the official US response to its proposal to end the Middle East war, state media reported, days after President Donald Trump publicly rejected the plan. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented the American reply to President Masoud Pezeshkian at a cabinet meeting, though the content was not disclosed. Iran's proposal includes seven conditions, such as a regional ceasefire, unfreezing assets, lifting oil sanctions, and ending the US naval blockade. Indirect talks resumed last week at the UN General Assembly after seven months of conflict. Tehran continues striking ships in the Strait of Hormuz, while Washington has escalated economic pressure with new sanctions on Iranian airlines.
