Iran FM: Qatari mediator proposes ideas to address Tehran's conditions

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a Qatari mediator held a new meeting with Iran in New York, proposing ideas to address Tehran's conditions for continuing communications with Washington. He hopes to receive the US response by Tuesday. The Qatari mediator will present the discussed ideas to the American side and then convey Washington's reply to Tehran. Araghchi said he will leave for Tehran within hours, with Qatari mediators tasked to deliver the response to him upon receipt. Araghchi noted previous communications via Qatari and Pakistani mediators have become "more serious" following an Iranian proposal. The contacts come amid ongoing mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington, with positions still far apart on conditions for ending the war.
