Trump Threatens New Strikes on Iran Nuclear Sites

dna.fr (French) —

US President Donald Trump said Saturday the United States still needs to "take care of" one or two sites in Iran, as Tehran threatened retaliation against any new strikes. Trump claimed the US has destroyed much of Iran's nuclear capacity but named Mount Kolang, near the Natanz complex, as a remaining target. Iran's supreme leader warned of an "immediate, powerful response without geographic limits" if attacked again. The conflict began February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran, followed by an April ceasefire and June agreement that collapsed over the Strait of Hormuz. Iran regularly targets ships there, and tensions remain high amid Qatari-mediated negotiations.
