Iranian negotiators in Qatar hold third day of talks to end U.S.-Iran war
Iranian negotiators held a third day of talks in Doha on Sunday with Qatari mediators to seek a deal ending the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, an official briefed on the discussions told Reuters. The talks occur amid concerns the conflict could escalate after the Nov. 3 U.S. midterm elections, as President Donald Trump has ruled out new attacks before the vote but not afterward. Iran has vowed to strike U.S. and Israeli targets if attacked, while Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei ordered armed forces to prepare for any strikes. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump has not decided on further military action and prefers a diplomatic resolution. Qatari mediators moved the talks from Tehran to Doha, coordinating regularly with Washington.
