Khamenei orders military to prepare unrestricted response to any threat
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered the armed forces to prepare an immediate and "geographically unrestricted response" to any enemy threat, warning Tehran will decide the timing and terms of any future conflict if the US or Israel attacks. According to Reuters, Khamenei directed the military to update target lists to bring all US and Israeli assets within striking range, while ordering increased ammunition and weapons production, stronger military intelligence, and indigenous defence capabilities. He stated that any renewed military or terrorist attacks would trigger a fresh conflict. The directives come as tensions escalate between Tehran and Washington over the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing military confrontation. Iran has repeatedly warned of retaliation against fresh attacks, while diplomatic efforts involving regional countries have so far failed to produce a breakthrough.
