Iran's Supreme Leader Warns US of Unrestricted Military Response to Any Attack
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States against renewed strikes, ordering a military response "without geographical limits" to any American or Israeli attack, as speculation grows over a possible resumption of Middle East war. During a Saturday meeting with top military officials, Khamenei stated that any threat must face an immediate and powerful riposte, and directed the updating of target lists to include all material and immaterial assets of the "American-Zionist enemy." The meeting, which included the armed forces chief of staff and Revolutionary Guard commander, was their first publicly reported gathering. Khamenei has not appeared in public since succeeding his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes in late February that triggered the war. His remarks come amid Qatari diplomatic efforts in Tehran and an unanswered letter from US Vice President JD Vance.
