Iran's Supreme Leader Warns US of Immediate, Unbounded Response to Further Strikes
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States on Saturday against further strikes, threatening an immediate, powerful response with no geographic limits amid rising speculation of renewed Middle East war. In a statement published on his website, Khamenei said Iranian armed forces and people would determine the timing and conditions to end any new military or terrorist attacks. He made the remarks during a meeting with top military officials, including army chief Amir Hatami and Revolutionary Guards commander Ahmad Vahidi, and ordered them to update target lists to include all material and immaterial assets of the "American-Zionist enemy." The war began on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which retaliated against US-allied regional countries. Diplomatic efforts continue, with a Qatari delegation arriving in Tehran Friday after Iran received a letter from US Vice President JD Vance, though Tehran has not yet responded.
