Iran's Khamenei orders unlimited retaliation if US or Israel attacks
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered the armed forces to respond forcefully to any renewed US or Israeli attack, warning that Tehran would decide when hostilities end and that retaliation would have no geographical limits. Khamenei instructed military commanders to update target databases to bring all US and Israeli assets within reach, while also calling for strengthened intelligence and expanded indigenous defence capabilities. The commanders briefed him on preparedness along the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and other borders, reporting increased production of ammunition and weapons. Top security official Mohsen Rezaei threatened "devastating blows" with "new weaponry" if attacked, while noting diplomacy remains possible if Washington meets seven conditions, including lifting sanctions and releasing frozen assets. The warnings come as US and Iranian proposals are exchanged through Qatari mediators, though President Trump has continued to threaten strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.
