Iran's Supreme Leader orders unrestricted response to any attack
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei ordered an "immediate, forceful, and unrestricted" response to any threat, according to a statement released Saturday on his official website. The directive was issued during a meeting with senior Armed Forces commanders. Khamenei emphasized strengthening military intelligence, deepening indigenous defense capabilities, and incorporating emerging technologies. He also ordered an update of the database of military targets, ensuring US and Israeli assets remain within reach of Iranian forces. The order follows US President Donald Trump's October 8 statement that he did not intend to attack Iran before the midterm elections. That same day, the US State Department announced broad sanctions against networks tied to Iranian oil transport.
