Iran's Supreme Leader Warns US Against New Strikes
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States on Saturday against launching new strikes, amid growing speculation of a possible resumption of war in the Middle East. In a statement published on his website, Khamenei said that if enemies launch new military or terrorist attacks, Iran's armed forces and people will determine the timing and conditions of their end. The remarks came during his first publicly reported meeting with top military officials, including the armed forces chief of staff, army chief, and Revolutionary Guard commander. Khamenei also ordered military leaders to update Iran's target list to include all material and immaterial assets belonging to the "American-Zionist enemy." The war began on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which retaliated against US-allied regional countries. A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday for talks after Iran received a letter from US Vice President J.D. Vance, though Tehran has not yet responded.
