Iran warns US any new war could last longer than before
Iran warned on Sunday that any new war with the United States could last longer than the previous conflict, with President Donald Trump unable to dictate its duration or end. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia made the remarks via state television. Washington is weighing resuming military action against Iran, with Trump reportedly briefing Israel's Netanyahu on fresh strike plans during a phone call, according to the Wall Street Journal. Trump later claimed the US could hit remaining nuclear sites "in ten minutes." The warning follows Secretary of State Marco Rubio's remarks that Trump prefers diplomacy but can use military means if needed. The Pentagon has reportedly strengthened air defences and repositioned forces in West Asia.
