Trump Says US May Strike Suspected Iranian Nuclear Site
US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States may need to address several targets in Iran, potentially including a suspected nuclear facility under Mount Kolang-Gaz-La, also known as Mount Kirk, according to RIA Novosti. Trump claimed the US has destroyed nearly all of Iran's weaponry, production capabilities, and nuclear potential, adding that remaining targets could be dealt with in ten minutes. Axios reports he may strike Iran again if Republicans lose the November 3 congressional elections. Qatar is attempting to broker a US-Iran agreement before the vote to prevent a new war. The US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28, and a June memorandum provided a 60-day negotiation period that expired in August without a new deal.
