US receives Iranian proposal to end conflict

The United States has received an Iranian proposal to end the conflict between Washington, Israel, and Tehran, with further contacts under discussion, according to Al Jazeera citing a diplomat. The proposal was handed over for review, and additional contacts are already being discussed, the Qatari-mediated channel reported. Iran's delegation left Qatar earlier on Monday. Iran's foreign ministry said its seven-day plan to open the strait, presented to Washington at the UN General Assembly, is the only real initiative. Implementation would lead to talks on resolving the conflict's root causes.
