Iran warns US of prolonged war as Trump threatens fresh strikes
Iran has warned the United States of a prolonged and devastating war if Washington launches further attacks, following renewed threats from President Donald Trump to strike remaining Iranian sites. Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said any response would have no "geographical limits." Trump claimed on Sunday at a Mar-a-Lago Halloween party that the US could target remaining Iranian sites within "10 minutes," referencing a suspected underground nuclear complex. Iranian army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said Washington would not dictate the timing or conditions of any future conflict's conclusion, according to state media. Gulf nations, including the UAE, fear a wider regional conflict and are seeking a diplomatic solution. Previous US-Iran negotiations, mediated by Pakistan, Qatar, and Oman, collapsed over disagreements on Strait of Hormuz navigation and Iran's nuclear programme.
