Tucker Carlson claims Netanyahu is urging Trump to strike Iran's nuclear site at Pickaxe Mountain

US commentator Tucker Carlson has claimed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pressing US President Donald Trump to launch a nuclear strike on Iran, alleging a decision could come within days. Carlson cited no independently verifiable evidence for the claim. Carlson said the proposed target is Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence allegedly believes nuclear enrichment has restarted, and that conventional weapons could not reach underground tunnels. He linked the push to Netanyahu's political position after Israeli elections, claiming the prime minister needs the war to stay in power. Carlson warned of regional and global consequences, including Gulf contamination and potential nuclear escalation by Russia or North Korea. Diplomatic efforts continue, with Trump and Netanyahu speaking Saturday, while Qatari mediators held talks with Iranian officials on Sunday.
