Iran sticks to diplomacy as Trump expects new talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated Tehran's conditions for reopening the strait are "clear" and that only a "negotiated solution" can resolve the crisis, noting mediators have not yet conveyed an official US rejection. Trump countered that Iran seeks a deal due to its losses. The diplomatic moves come as the war enters a phase Iranian army chief Amir Hatami called "critical and decisive," amid the ongoing US economic blockade, disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, and widening regional fallout.
