Wagenknecht signals openness to AfD cooperation in Saxony-Anhalt

Sahra Wagenknecht, founder of the BSW party, has signaled openness to cooperating with the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt following the recent state election, stating her party is willing to work with anyone seeking change. In a ZDF interview, Wagenknecht said the BSW would cooperate with any party ready to implement desired changes, though she emphasized opposition to certain AfD positions. She proposed a non-partisan minister-president, extending an invitation to the AfD for talks. AfD leader Tino Chrupalla rejected this model, insisting on Ulrich Siegmund as minister-president and dismissing cooperation with the BSW, which he called a "barely six-percent party." Wagenknecht suggested Siegmund might instead seek support from CDU members.
