BSW rejects coalition with AfD in Saxony-Anhalt

The BSW has ruled out a coalition with the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt, according to top candidate Claudia Wittig on MDR television, making such an alliance unlikely. Wittig stated the BSW will not enter a coalition but will discuss projects with the AfD, favoring governance with changing majorities. AfD parliamentary manager Tobias Rausch offered exploratory talks to all parties and did not rule out a minority government. The AfD won the September 6 election with 43.8 percent but missed an absolute majority. The CDU received 17.2 percent, followed by SPD, Greens, and Left, while the BSW entered parliament with 5.3 percent.
