Jaishankar hits back at Pakistani journalist over terrorism question at UN

India's External Affairs Minister S. The journalist asked when India would stop "sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan," prompting Jaishankar's retort, "A terrorist country is asking me that question. Come on." India's UN representative Harish Parvathaneni then told the journalist the response was "loud and clear." The exchange occurred after Jaishankar and Liberia's foreign minister addressed the press on shipping safety. It follows recent tensions, including an Indian journalist asking Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif when he would stop harboring terrorists, and Sharif's criticism of India over the Indus Waters Treaty.
