India slams Pakistan for cross-border terrorism at UN General Assembly
India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar condemned Pakistan for state-sponsored cross-border terrorism at the 81st UN General Assembly on Saturday, demanding accountability and a zero-tolerance approach. Jaishankar also addressed the Gulf conflict, offering India's assistance with food and energy security while advocating for a two-state solution. He referenced a Pakistani journalist's question, asserting India's right to self-defence and calling for Pakistan to mend its ways. Additionally, Jaishankar raised concerns over attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers, announcing an initiative with Liberia and 23 partners. He praised outgoing UN Secretary-General António Guterres, while India's diplomat Petal Gahlot separately dismissed Pakistan's remarks as "bizarre," citing Osama bin Laden's residence in Pakistan.
