India Warns Pakistan at UN; Sawan Barwal Wins Asian Games Silver
India warned Pakistan at the United Nations on Saturday, accusing it of cross-border terrorism and stating such actions will have consequences. First Secretary Petal Gahlot asserted New Delhi's right to defend itself. Gahlot said terrorists would have "nowhere to run and nowhere to hide," and accused Pakistan of making false claims, adding its "terrorism, deceit and duplicity" would not benefit it or the world. The statement came during India's address at the UN. Separately, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif credited US President Donald Trump for the May 2025 ceasefire with India, warning any attempt to divert Pakistan's Indus River waters would be treated as an act of war. India maintains the ceasefire was reached directly.
