Defence expert backs Jaishankar's sharp reply to Pakistani reporter on terrorism

Defence expert Captain Anil Gaur has backed External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's strong response to a Pakistani reporter's terrorism-related question, accusing Pakistan of spreading lies on the world forum. Gaur noted that Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif admitted at the United Nations that his country needed to control its terrorists, yet Pakistani journalists questioned India's actions. He also questioned why senior Pakistani officials attended funerals of terrorists killed in Indian strikes. Jaishankar firmly told the Pakistani reporter that "a terrorist country" had no right to ask such questions. India has consistently demanded Pakistan take credible action against cross-border terrorism, with its efforts recognised internationally, including UNSC condemnation of the Pahalgam attack and Pakistan's multiple placements on the FATF grey list.
