India at UN slams Pakistan as army-run regime, cites terrorism and minority rights

India sharply criticized Pakistan at the UN General Assembly, calling it a regime "of the army, by the army, and for the army" and accusing Islamabad of using terrorism and deceit to pursue its interests. The response came after Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif's address. India's First Secretary Petal Gahlot, exercising Right of Reply, said Pakistan's capital is fortified against its own people and referenced Osama bin Laden's presence near a Pakistani military academy. She also condemned Pakistan's treatment of minorities and blasphemy laws, reiterating that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Gahlot urged the international community to examine Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, warning that cross-border terrorism will have consequences. Sharif had earlier credited US President Donald Trump's "timely intervention" during the 2025 conflict and praised Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.
