pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

French Education Minister Édouard Geoffray reported that 190 high school students have been injured since the start of protests across the country. Geoffray stated injuries resulted from both random circumstances and violence by troublemakers, noting students were attacked by unknown groups firing mortars near schools. A middle school student was seriously injured in Pas-de-Calais. The protests began September 17 in Île-de-France, spreading to many cities. Students demand more staffing and funding for education, citing teacher shortages and poor facilities. Over 5,000 arrests occurred since Monday, with 24 schools burned or vandalized.
