Toulouse and Haute-Garonne high school closures on Monday: full list

Around 400 to 500 French high schools will have classes "totally or partially" suspended on Monday, October 5, 2026, due to unsafe conditions, announced Edouard Geffray on Sunday. Affected students will follow lessons remotely. In Toulouse, closures include Lycées Déodat de Sèverac, Stéphane Hessel, Roland Garros, Toulouse Lautrec, Gallieni, Les Arènes, Emilie de Rodat, and Occitanie. In Haute-Garonne, Lycées Charles de Gaulle and Aragon in Muret are closed. Other affected schools are in the Lot, Tarn-et-Garonne, and Aveyron, including Lycées Clément Marot, Champollion, Bourdelle, Michelet, Claude Nougaro, and Monteil. The announcement follows recent student blockades that led to 70 arrests in Haute-Garonne.
