Apple Watch's Siri Recap raises privacy concerns with always-on listening

Apple is introducing Siri Recap on Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, a feature that listens to conversations for hours to generate automatic summaries, raising significant privacy concerns. The feature processes audio in a secure enclave, sends encrypted condensed data to Apple's Private Cloud Compute, and filters sensitive information like financial data, though Apple admits the system is not infallible. Siri Recap is disabled by default, requires manual activation with scheduled listening times, and will be available later this year on compatible devices, with summaries deleted after seven days unless saved.
