Apple Watch Series 12 adds AI conversation summaries, plus new health sensors

gizmodo.jp (Japanese)

Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 12, introducing AI features that record and summarize daily conversations, positioning the device as a "wrist secretary" beyond health tracking. New tools like "Siri Recap" summarize daily activities and conversations, while "Live Rewind" provides instant summaries of missed dialogue during meetings. These features, available in beta this fall, use Apple's Private Cloud Compute for privacy. Health capabilities were also enhanced with a new sensing system measuring heart rate every five seconds and HRV every four seconds. The updated Health app adds a "Longevity" tab assessing biological age. Series 12 starts at 71,800 yen.
