Siri AI launches in beta September 14 with daily usage caps and future fees
Apple confirmed Wednesday that Siri AI will launch in beta on September 14 with OS 27 releases, subject to daily usage caps, future fees, and language and regional restrictions. The assistant will initially support English only. The mobile releases cover iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, while macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27 share the same date. Siri AI will be unavailable in mainland China and withheld from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch in the European Union. Server-side features will have daily limits, with expanded access for a fee later. Siri AI offers natural conversations, personal information retrieval, and cross-app actions, but remains unfinished. Users under 13 are excluded, and access may not be immediate for all eligible users. Additional languages arrive in October 2026.
