Apple Watch Ultra 4 vs Ultra 3: New chip, battery, and sensors
Apple announced the Apple Watch Ultra 4, which features a new S11 chip, larger battery, and redesigned sensors, offering improved performance and health tracking over the Ultra 3 while keeping the same design and $799 price. The Ultra 4 provides up to two days of battery life, 45 hours in workout mode, and 18 hours of GPS tracking, surpassing the Ultra 3. Its new sensor array enhances heart rate accuracy, measures HRV 24 times more often, and adds a Readiness score. The S11 chip enables Apple Intelligence features like Live Rewind and Sound Recognition, with end-to-end encryption. The watch maintains the same 49mm titanium case, 3000-nit display, and 100-meter water resistance as its predecessor. Preorders are open now, with general availability starting September 18.
