watchOS 27 adds Siri AI, tap gestures, and a dynamic app grid
Apple has released watchOS 27, featuring a new Siri AI system, a single-handed tap gesture, and a dynamic app grid, alongside updates to Workout Buddy and Cycle Tracking. The update introduces a more conversational Siri with personal context understanding and on-device models on newer iPhones, plus a dedicated Siri app. Workout Buddy now works without an iPhone nearby, and the Smart Stack gains tap-to-select widgets and new suggestion widgets. System improvements include faster media playback, more accurate treadmill distances, consolidated Find My app, and offline Shazam recognition. Battery extension notifications and Liquid Glass refinements are also included, with security details available on Apple's support site.
