Apple Watch Ultra 4 hands-on: S11 chip boosts heart-rate accuracy and battery life
Apple launched the Apple Watch Ultra 4 on September 9, introducing a new Health Sensing System with the S11 chip, claiming the most accurate heart rate tracking in a wearable and a new daily readiness score. The device targets fitness enthusiasts with significantly improved battery life. The Ultra 4 retains its rugged titanium design but adds new band colors and a translucent Ocean Band. Its key upgrades include heart rate measurement every five seconds, a 0-10 readiness score with recommendations, and battery life extending to 84 hours in Low Power Mode, with 45 hours of full GPS tracking for endurance events. New Audio Intelligence features, arriving later this year, will include Live Rewind for capturing conversation snippets and Siri Recap, with privacy ensured via isolated hardware processing. Step tracking and on-device GPS are also claimed as most accurate, with a new Siri AI arriving with watchOS 27.
