US Plans New Ukraine-Russia Talks in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11
The United States plans to hold a meeting of Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 to discuss ending the war, post-war security agreements, and de-escalation, according to Reuters citing a senior US official. US negotiators aim for a breakthrough before winter. The last similar meeting occurred in February, before the US-Israel war with Iran. Despite recent US pressure on Ukraine, Kyiv and Moscow positions remain far apart. US envoy Steve Witkoff said a meeting with France, Germany, Britain, EU, and NATO officials will occur this week in Brussels to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and post-war European security. Ukrainian President Zelensky stated sovereignty and territorial integrity cannot be discussed without Ukrainian participation.
