Medinsky to Lead Russian Delegation at Abu Dhabi Talks with US and Ukraine
Vladimir Medinsky, a Kremlin envoy, will lead the Russian delegation at trilateral talks with the US and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, according to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Peskov confirmed Medinsky remains Russia's chief negotiator for the talks. A Telegram channel linked to Ukrainian intelligence claimed military officials will accompany Medinsky, suggesting the meeting's outcome is already predetermined. Medinsky previously led Russian delegations, focusing on pseudo-historical narratives. The US-organized meeting aims to discuss ending Russia's war against Ukraine, post-war security agreements, and de-escalation. A previous trilateral meeting occurred in February before US and Israeli attention shifted to Iran. Separately, US negotiators will meet European and NATO representatives in Brussels this week to discuss Ukraine's security guarantees and post-war European security architecture.
