US Envoy Announces Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks in Abu Dhabi
The U.S. will mediate new Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 10-11, announced Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on Monday, as part of advancing President Trump's mission to end the war. The working-level negotiations mark the first face-to-face talks since February and will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, and humanitarian efforts. Witkoff also announced a separate Brussels meeting this week with NATO, EU, and allied representatives to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine. The talks follow Witkoff's recent meetings with Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin. Meanwhile, fighting continues, with Ukraine reporting a Russian strike on a humanitarian site killing 26 people, and Russia claiming Ukrainian drones damaged an oil refinery.
