Iran Gives US Seven-Day Plan to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

Iran has presented the United States a "concrete" seven-day plan to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stating the choice now rests with Washington. Speaking at the United Nations on Friday, Araqchi said the strait can be reopened and normal maritime passage restored within seven days if necessary conditions are met. He clarified the required US actions are not new, as they are already contained in the memorandum of understanding both nations agreed to in June.
