Iran's President Says War Decision Now Up to US

He expressed willingness to resolve differences through dialogue rather than military action. Pezeshkian said Israel instigated the conflict, but Iran prefers negotiation and remains open to an agreement with President Donald Trump. He questioned why a ceasefire collapsed within two weeks of signing and stated Tehran would accept talks if Washington works within international legal frameworks. Pezeshkian also denied that Yemen's Houthis take orders from Tehran, saying they act independently despite having contacts with Iran. His comments follow his UN General Assembly address and come amid ongoing regional tensions involving Houthi attacks and Saudi interceptions.
